Project Description

The single-family house with a total of five floor levels was built within the steep slope of Stuttgart. With floor plan dimensions of 13.0 x 10.5 m, the total construction height adds up to 14.0 m, accounting also for the two lower levels which are embedded into the hill at the backside of the house.

The house is supported by strip foundations as well as by the elastically bedded base plate.

The floor plates are designed as flat slabs, supported by walls on levels 0, 1, and 2. On levels 3 and 4, the slabs are also supported by reinforced concrete columns.

Besides the exposed concrete, in the interior and exterior areas additional materials as steel, glass and timber are utilized, forming an ambitious mix of surfaces.
